FORMER Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, revealed that the NFF president as well as the head coach talked to him about the possibility of a comeback to the national team.
The former Manchester United striker retired from the national team after the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where he finished as top scorer in the competition.
Speaking with ESPN, the 32 year old made it clear that he is yet to make a decision on the request made by the NFF boss and the Gernot Rohr.
"They have been in contact with me about the possibility of coming back, Amaju and coach," Ighalo told ESPN.
"I don't know. I have not said yes or no. I haven't made any decision concerning the national team," he added.
Reports are also suggesting that despite the striker's decison, Gernot Rohr has already included the striker in the world cup qualifier's team.
The striker who now plays for Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia has scored eight (8) goals in nine matches
