SERIE A giant, Napoli has confirmed the sacking of their Head Coach, Rudi Garcia, just four months after he was appointed as the Head Coach at the start of the season.
Former Napoli Manager from 2009-2013, Walter Mazzarri, has been appointed to help salvage the rest of the season, mostly due to his availability and familiarity with the club.
Garcia’s sacking comes as a result of poor performances. The club, as the reigning champions, has not been up to the task this season as they have failed to secure three points in recent games.
Also, the sour relationship between the Manager and Napoli star players, Victor Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, could have prompted the reason for the sack, as he had dressing room issues within four months of his appointment.
Also, the Naples have been an error playing in front of their home fans at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as they have only won two of their eight games at home this season and are currently on a five-game winless streak on home soil.
Napoli is currently fourth on the Serie A table with 10 points adrift of table-topping Inter Milan. They are also second in their Champions League Group stage, with Real Madrid ahead of them.
