NAPOLI and Brazil's legend, Careca has compared the similarities between Nigeria and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen to that of Manchester City and Norway forward, Erling Haaland.
Both players are top on their League's goal-scoring charts, with Victor Osimhen having a tally of 13 goals in 15 matches while Erling Haaland is on the road to breaking a Premier League record, as he has found the back of the net 25 times this season.
Careca, who won the Serie A trophy with Napoli in the 1989/90 season highlighted some similarities between both strikers who often find themselves on the score sheet and on news headlines.
Speaking to the Italian newspaper, It Mattino, via Naporpid, Careca said: "Osimhen has unique characteristics. A bit like Haaland, the City ace, who looks heavy but instead has extraordinary agility. Osimhen is doing great things after overcoming many physical problems and hasn't yet shown his best: the margins for improvement are considerable.”
"Meanwhile, his regularity is striking: he always scores. He has incredible willpower and then it's as if the ball was looking for him and not vice versa. He positions himself very well, he is always in the heart of the action," he added.
