PARIS Saint-German forward Kylian Mbappe has proclaimed teammate and Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi as the best player in the world.
Both players were on target for the club scoring 2 goals each in yesterday's 4-1 Champions League's win against Club Brugge at the final Champions League group stage match.
Although the club could not secure the top of the table, a second-place finish was enough to take them to the knockout stages of the competition.
Following the game, Mbappe issued his verdict on Lionel Messi.
“It’s easy to play with Lionel Messi,” he said. “He’s the best player in the world.
“He won the Ballon d’Or a few days ago. He scored two goals today, he is happy, and I hope he will help us in the future.”
PSG got to the semi-final stage of the competition last year and is hoping that Lionel Messi could help them achieve the dream of winning the Champions League trophy this season.
