MANCHESTER City and Liverpool are among the clubs affected by FIFA rules which were triggered by the Brazilian FA.

Brazilian players who didn't travel to represent their country for international duty will be suspended for this weekend's Premier League fixture.

Premier League teams prevented their players from leaving for international duty due to worries over the amount of game time players would miss from quarantine rules.

However, the Brazilian FA didn't take it easy and has triggered a FIFA ruling that means the affected players will not be available between the 10th and 14th of September.

Players who are affected by this decision include Liverpool Allison and Fabinho, Manchester City, Ederson, and Leeds United Raphinha.

Any Premier League Club that opts to field the ineligible players, then under Article 22 of FIFA’s disciplinary code, could forfeit the match 3-0.
