Lukaku rejoined Chelsea from Inter Milan barely 2 weeks ago and has told football fans he will be wearing the prestigious number 9 jersey.
The number 9 jersey was previously worn by Tammy Abraham who has now left the club to join Jose Mourinho's side, AS Roma, this week.
Lukaku, who has played for Everton and Manchester United, confirmed he was delighted to be given the Number 9 shirt.
"Yes, I have the No 9 shirt," said Lukaku. "I'm very happy and very fortunate to be in the situation"
Chelsea will face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday in which Lukaku will be available for selection after completing his isolation period.
