ROMELU Lukaku as told media outlet and fans that he was an essential part of making the move to Chelsea possible.
The Belgium international joined Chelsea from Inter Milan this summer for €115m which saw him return back to the Chelsea after eight years.
Lukaku admitted he personally had a one-on-one discussion with Simone Inzaghi, he said:
"“With Chelsea’s third offer, I knew it was serious and I wasn’t there anymore,”
“Chelsea offered €110m plus Zappacosta, but Inter said no, so I went to Inzaghi’s office asking to find an agreement.”
Lukaku scored 64 goals in 95 games during his two-year spell at Inter, winning the league trophy in his second year. He has already made his mark in the Premier League, scoring his first goal in a 2-0 win against Arsenal.
