FORMER Liverpool player and Glasgow Ranger manager, Steven Gerrard, has been linked for a job at Aston Villa.
On Sunday, November 8, 2021, Aston villa sacked its manager, Dean Smith, after the club lost five Premier League games in a row. The club board has since then begun a search for a new manager.
Reports suggested that Aston Villa is considering appointing Steven Gerrard as the new club manager. In fact, some reports suggest it could be done within the next 48hrs despite Rangers saying it is yet to be contacted.
However, findings have revealed that Gerrard has truly been contacted by Aston Villa and a deal could be agreed soonest, provided Glasgow Rangers demands are met.
Meanwhile, taking into consideration that Gerrard is a close friend of Villa's CEO, Christian Purslow, following their time together at Liverpool when Purslow was the managing director, there should not be any trouble in agreeing on personal terms.
