FIFA ranks Nigeria 40th overall, 6th in Africa

APEX Football Governing body, FIFA, has ranked the Nigeria football team 40th in the world in its recently-released FIFA World Ranking, which means the Nigeria team have dropped five places to sit 40th.

The ranking, which was released earlier today, sees World Cup winner, Argentina, ranked number one in the world, while runner-ups, France, sit in second place, followed by Brazil in third place.

The ranking also saw Morroco ranked first in Africa and 11th in the world, followed by Senegal which is placed 18th in the world and then Tunisia sits comfortably in 28th position in the world.

The Super Eagles, who are 40th in the world are now placed sixth in Africa, while Ghana is 60th in the world and 11th in Africa with Mo Salah's Egypt sitting 5th in Africa and 35th in the World.
