FORMER Arsenal defender, William Gallas has advised Arsenal's Manager, Mikel Arteta not to sign Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen next summer.

Osimhen is one of the top targets in the striker role with top European clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-German interested in the 24-year-old services.

However, Gallas is not convinced that Osimhen will be a good addition to Arsenal and would prefer if the Gunners sign Bournemouth striker, Dominic Solanke.

“I think Arsenal needs one striker who is different to Gabriel Jesus. One striker who is physically better can help the team play a different style of football. Osimhen, (Ivan) Toney or (Dominic) Solanke? It’s a good question!” Gallas told Lord Ping on Tuesday.

“I’m not sure about Victor Osimhen. He has a strong character but I’m not sure if he’ll have a good relationship with Arteta. If I was Arteta, I would sign for Dominic Solanke, who is also a cheaper option than Osimhen and Toney,” he added.

Osimhen, who despite picking up a few injuries, has 10 goals scored in 19 appearances across all competitions this season and has a £111m release clause, would be willing to make a move to the Premier League next season.
