MANCHESTER United’s Boss, Erik Ten Hag, has blamed himself for Brazilian winger, Antony’s poor performance this season for the Red Devils in the English Premier League.

The Brazilian, who was acquired from Ajax Amsterdam, has failed to score a goal or provide an assist in his ten matches for the Red Devils at home or away so far this season.

Ten Hag pointed fingers at himself for the player’s struggles as he noted that the team needs to feed him the ball more regularly.

“I’m a fighter, and Antony is also a fighter; he has the confidence. He is brave, and I am confident he will bring the performance that he is the right player for us.

“The team is not playing well when we don’t bring him the balls, and I am also responsible for that.

“There was also a lot of noise, and that dropped his levels. He can do better, but all the players can do better,” Ten Hag said as quoted by MEN.

Antony couldn’t help his team in the EFL cup game against Newcastle United on Wednesday as the defending champions lost to the Magpies 3-0, knocking them out of the competition.
