NEWLY appointed manager of Manchester United, Erik Ten Hag, has made his first appearance as the club manager following the club end of the season loss to Crystal Palace.

Manchester United announced the appointment of the Dutch manager last month as he replaces Ralf Ragnick at the end of the season.

United on its own path have had a terrible season as they struggled to finish 6th on the table securing  Europa League competition next season with a goal difference of 0, and hopefully Erik Ten Hag would be the man to take them back to there lost glory.

That is what I expect,’ the 52-year-old said in an interview with MUTV. ‘I have high expectations from myself and that is also what I demand from my squad.

They have to co-operate together and they have to give every day their best. And I would say, for me, good is not good enough. We have to do better'.

Ten Hag added: ‘We are playing in the Theatre of Dreams and have to entertain the opponent. We are playing in the opponent’s half and we have to do attacking football.

‘We have to do the pressing, the total high-pressing – that is a similarity to Ajax also – and the adventurous football.’

The Manger has already started making moves with signings as he as told the board of directors of his interest to sign Frenkie De Jong from Barcelona.
