BORUSSIA Dortmund superstar, Karim Adeyemi has named Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen as his favourite and best African player.
The 21-year-old who plays for Germany's national team but is of Nigerian descent named the Napoli man and CAF African Player of the Year as the best player in Africa.
The player made the comments during an interview in Nigeria as he was spotted at the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle, Lagos, during a children’s party.
“I'll say the best player for me is Victor Osimhen because he plays good in his league and also in the Champions League, he does both very good so he's the best for me," Adeyemi stated when asked who his favourite Nigerian or African player is.
Osimhen had an exceptional season last season when he led Napoli to its first Serie A title in over 30 years, with the Nigerian scoring 26 goals. He also contributed to Nigeria's qualifying for the 2023 AFCON, scoring 10 goals in the competition.
Osimhen also became the first Nigerian to win the CAF Player of the Year since Kanu Nwankwo did it 24 years ago.
