THE Premier League's biggest fixture of matchday 12 lived up to expectations as an eight-goal thriller saw Chelsea hold defending champions, Manchester City to a 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge.
The eight goals were shared among Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling, Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, Erling Haaland (2), Manuel Akanji, and Rodri, as both Man City and Chelsea ended the game with a point apiece.
Speaking after the match, Man City boss, Pep Guardiola commended Mauricio Pochettino for putting up a good game and analysis against his team.
“I don’t remember a game where we came here to get the chances we had. A millions times much worse than today, when we won 0-1,” Guardiola said.
“Their shape is really good. It happens, give credit to both teams and Pochettino will give an analysis about his team. It was tight. A fair result,” he added.
Manchester City will go into the international break at the top of the table and will return to action on November 25 against second place, Liverpool while the Blues face a tough opponent in Newcastle United same day.
