IN preparation for the new Premier League season, Chelsea might need to slow down their track as multiple players test positive to COVID-19.

The players were said to have tested positive at the end of last week before a potential return to training.

The Daily Mail also reported that the identities of four Chelsea players with the coronavirus are known and will stay in quarantine to avoid the spread of the virus.

This might put a hold on Chelsea's pre-season training but not on transfer target, as Chelsea are looking to strengthen their squad after the signing of Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, Hakim Ziych from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

The blues are still on the verge of signing PSG defender Thiago Silva and Kia Harvetz from Bayer Leverkusen.
