DESPITE having a rough start this season, Chelsea are close to securing a trophy by reaching the finals of the EFL Carabao Cup under Mauricio Pochettino.

The Blues thrashed Middlesbrough 6-1 in their semi-final second leg on Tuesday night to reach the finals of the competition as they edge closer to another silverware in the club's history.

“I am desperate to win a title here. There is your headline! We won three trophies in Paris in 18 months, and we want to win here. I am desperate to win, of course.

“Fulham or Liverpool are two amazing teams, so it will be difficult, but now is the moment to believe we can win. It’s an important step for us,” Pochettino said.

The Blues, who last won the trophy in 2015, will now face Fulham or Liverpool in next month’s Wembley final.
