Bukayo Saka named England Best Player of Year

The 22-year-old has beaten the likes of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham to win England's Player of the Year award for the second consecutive year.

ARSENAL'S forward, Bukayo Saka, has won the England Best Player of the Year for the second year running.

The 22-year-old has beaten the likes of Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham to win England's Player of the Year award for the second consecutive year. 

The British-Nigerian winger had a superb individual performance the previous year for his club, scoring 14 goals and 11 assists in the Premier League.

Only three players contributed more goals in the Premier League last year than him, Harry Kane for Tottenham, Erling Haaland for Manchester City, and Mohammed Salah for Liverpool.

For the country, Saka was an integral part of England's World Cup campaign in Qatar, scoring three goals as they reached the quarter-final of the competition. He also grabbed a first career hat-trick against North Macedonia in Euro 2024 qualifiers.

This second award brings him level with Harry Kane, Steven Gerrard, and Frank Lampard, who all won it twice as well. He remains behind the record holder, Wayne Rooney, who won it four times.
