SUPER Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Boniface has been voted the Bundesliga Player of the Month for August on Thursday.
The Bayer Leverkusen star man joined the German side from the Belgian Pro League club, Union St Gilloise, this summer.
The 22-year-old proved to be a great influence on the team as he registered four goals and one assist in three appearances for Die Werkself.
His performance has seen him receive the Bundesliga award, as well as praise from his Manager, Xabi Alonso.
“He’s a great player, a special player. He’s a striker, but he doesn’t just play for himself, he’s generous. We are really happy to have him here,” Alonso said.
Apart from winning the Player of the Month award, Boniface also scooped the Rookie of the Month prize.
