Boateng could face 5 years in prison over assault

EX Bayern Munich and Germany defender, Jerome Boateng, could face 5 years in prison over accusation of domestic violence.

The 33 years old has been accused of injuring the mother of his twin daughters during a dispute on holiday in the Turks and Caicos Islands and has been charged with allegations of dangerous bodily harm and verbal abuse.

Baoteng denied all allegations pleading not guilty.

The verdict of the case that was suppose to have taken place in December, but postponed due to a witness' unavailability would be heard later today.

If found guilty of the charges, Boateng could be fined, or face 5 years Jail term.

He is one of Bayern’s most decorated players, winning  the treble in the 2012–13 and 2019–20 seasons.

He also helped Germany to win the FIFA World Cup in 2014.
