BARCELONA defender and France international, Jules Kounde has named Real Madrid’s summer signing, Kylian Mbappe, as the best of the best.
The defender, who was invited for the 2024 Euros, as well as Kylian Mbappe, was full of admiration for the player who switched from PSG to Real Madrid last week.
Despite playing for Madrid rivals, Kounde had positive things to say about the 2018 World Cup winner as he referred to him as "Crème de la Crème (the best of the best).”
“A player like Kylian Mbappe can’t be stopped alone, it also requires a collective effort. Since he was in my area, I participated a lot in the success of the team,” Kounde said (via Madrid Universal).
“That’s why I play soccer, for the big games, to face the best. And in that sense, Kylian is the ‘Crème de la Crème’. So it is very satisfying. Playing against players like this encourages you to continue,” he added.
Both players came against each other in last season’s UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, as PSG eliminated Barcelona 7-3 on aggregate. They would be expected to go against each other again for El Classico matches.
