BARCELONA will now have their attention on the La Liga trophy after falling out of the Copa Del Rey trophy in the semi-finals to Real Madrid after a stunning 4-0 defeat at Camp Nou.

The Catalans came into the game with a one-goal advantage after defeating Madrid 1-0 in the first leg of the semi-finals, but Karim Benzema's hat-trick and a goal from Vini Jnr was all it took to end the game at 4-1 in aggregate after the second leg.

This means that Barca, who are now out of European competition and the Copa Del Rey, will now have to focus on La Liga and do what it takes to secure the trophy for the blue and red side.

Speaking after the 4-0 loss, Club manager Xavi said, “We have to focus on La Liga now, which is a more important competition than the Copa del Rey. We have 11 finals left in the league.”

Barcelona, who had Ousmane Dembele, Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and Andreas Christensen absent in the game, will now focus on Monday's La Liga game against Girona.
