SUPER Falcon baller, Asisat Oshoala has been ranked 16th in this year’s edition of the prestigious Ballon d'Or award for the women category that took place in Paris at Theatre du Chatelet, on Monday, October 17, 2022.
The Barcelona feminine forward was among the top 20 as she placed 16th on the list. The Barcelona feminine team dominated the top 20 list with five players coming from the Catalans.
Asisat Oshoala, who is the reigning best African Female Footballer, had an impressive run last season despite her injuries. Asisiat was able to pick the Spanish Primera Division highest goal scorer with 20 goals despite making 19 appearances.
The 28-year-old former Arsenal and Liverpool star won the treble with Barcelona - Primera División Femenina, Supercopa Femenina and Copa de la Reina, but unfortunately lost to Lyon in the Champions League final.
She was in attendance at the award ceremony which saw her teammate and club captain, Putellas win the prestigious Ballon d'Or award for the second consecutive time.
