DESPITE being biggest rivals, Barcelona defender, Ronald Araujo has praised Real Madrid forward, Vinicius Jnr, regarding the player as the best in a 1-on-1 situation.
Araujo, who is no doubt among the best defenders in La Liga, has always done a good job when it comes to ensuring Vinicius doesn’t get past him or even score a goal.
The Uruguay international had kept the Real Madrid winger in check at the Spanish Super Cup final and the Copa Del Rey semi-final.
Despite coming on top in recent encounters, Araujo still sees the Brazilian as a dangerous player who won't waste time deleting his opponents in a 1 vs 1 situation.
“For me today, Vinicius is number one in one-on-one. He is a very good player, very unbalancing. It’s difficult, obviously. But he worked to be able to give his best in matches like this. I’m glad things are going well,” the Uruguayan told ESPN (h/t AS).
With both teams playing tomorrow, Barcelona, who is 9 points clear, would extend it to 12 points should they hand the men in white a defeat.
But for this to happen, Araujo would need to be up and doing against the ever-dangerous Vinicius.
