PREMIER League Hall of Famer, Alan Shearer has predicted Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to win the English Premier League at the end of the season.
Despite Man City being third on the Premier League table currently, the former Newcastle United player strongly believes the Citizens have what it takes to overtake the Gunners and The Reds to win the league.
According to him, City are very familiar with the pressure of chasing titles, which gives them an edge over the other contenders.
“This is why my instinct is to make Manchester City favourites to win it now, even though they’re third in the table, a point behind the other two,” Shearer said.
“They are more familiar with this position. No side has ever won four consecutive Premier League titles but the track record they have is precious,” he added.
Should the Manchester Blues win the Premier League this season, it would make them the first club to win the Premier League trophy four consecutive times.
