NIGERIA senior team coach, Jose Peseiro has extended an invitation to 27 players ahead of the international friendly match against Portugal scheduled for November 17, 2022.
It has been gathered that the invitations were sent out last week to the 27 players. Some players were invited straight into the squad, while some were given a provisional invitation.
The list of players invited straight to the squad are Maduka Okoye, Adebayo Adeleye, Francis Uzoho, William Troost Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Chidozie Awaziem, Shehu Abdullahi, Calvin Bassey, Zaidu Sanusi, and Kevin Akpoguma.
Others are Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka, Alex Iwobi, Raphael Onyedika, Moses Simon, Taiwo Awoniyi, Ahmed Musa, Chidera Ejuke, Cyriel Dessers, Terem Moffi, Ademola Lookman, Saviour Godwin, Kelechi Iheanacho, Samuel Chukwueze, and Victor Osimhen.
While the players on the provisional list are Owen Goodman, Marvin Ekpiteta, Semi Ajayi, Innocent Bonke, and Alhassan Yusuf.
Before the Super Eagles of Nigeria face Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal, they would have to deal with Costa Rica on November 10, 2022.
