THE Super Falcons of Nigeria Coach, Randy Waldrum, has praised Paris FC shot-stopper, Chiamaka Nnadozie for doing a good job and ensuring the team left with a point to their name as the Falcons began their 2023 FIFA women's World Cup campaign by holding the Olympic Champions, Canada to a goalless draw early this morning.

The match, which kicked off at 3:00 WAT, saw the Super Falcons hold the North Americans to a draw as they kept their cool in the defence preventing their opponent from finding nothing more than three shots on target despite keeping the majority of the ball possession.

Canada could have secured the lead in the second half through a penalty kick, but Chiamaka Nnadozie provided a stunning save in the 50th minute to deny Christine Sinclair from finding the opener.

“Chiamaka has done this before, and I will say this, and I will embarrass her in front of you all, but I think she’s one of the best young goalkeepers in the world right now,” Waldrum was quoted by FIFA.com.

The Super Falcons are expected to up their game when they meet co-host Australia at the Brisbane Stadium next Thursday.
