ACCORDING to a statement released on Tuesday, 8th of June, 2021, Trump said: "Congratulations to the country of Nigeria, who just banned Twitter because they banned their president. Who are they to dictate good and evil, if they themselves are evil?”
He also appealed to other countries to ban Twitter and Facebook for not allowing "free and open speech".
It is to be noted that the former US President was banned from Twitter and suspended from Facebook and Instagram following the US Capitol riot in January 2021.
