THE All Progressives Congress (APC) party Chairman in the Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Adunni Akindele, and other party Chieftains, have taken the APC campaign train to Gemade Estate in the Gowon area of the council area to canvass support for the party and its candidates to the residents.

While speaking at the campaign, she said, "Gemade Estate is amongst one of the highly focused estates in Lagos State due to its well-coordinated and managed human and material resources that abound in the Estate.

“It is with these in mind, that we have come here to solicit votes for our candidates starting from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the Party's Presidential flag bearer.

“Asiwaju's impact in the modern Lagos cannot be underestimated hence his claim of Emilokan can be situated appropriately having paid his dues overtime.”

While referring to the residents as daddies and mummies, Akindele enjoined them to extend their hands of fellowship to the incumbent Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwoolu. She said; “he needs your support to continue the good work he has started. His achievement is all over Lagos state and with your votes, he will do more."

She also used the opportunity to introduce Luqman Olatunji Orelope, the APC Candidate for Alimosho Constituency 01, while also tendering an apology for the absence of the House of Representatives Candidate, Hon. Adele Ayuba, who had an urgent call to attend to with regard to the ongoing electioneering exercise.

She declared; "Orelope deserves our votes, having come from a renowned family that has, over the years, contributed immensely to the political development of Alimosho Federal Constituency and Lagos State, during the lives and times of the legendary Alhaji Jimoh Laka Orelope popularly known as Baba Orelope.”

Mrs Akindele also extolled the contribution of Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals and the elder sister of the candidate to Alimosho, Lagos state, and the country at large.

“One of her numerous achievements that are close to us is the police station under construction at Mosalasi bus stop and also the Primary Health Care Centre situated in Jakande Estate, not to mention others across the state.

The Pioneer Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Olusegun Abel Badejo, on his part, said; "Luqman Orelope is my son, he will be representing us in the Lagos State House of Assembly. Please accept him from us, he will not disappoint you. After the election, I will still bring him here to say thank you.”

Meanwhile, the Central Chairman of the Gemade Residents Association, Mr Ayinde Oyebamiji appreciated the team for the visit and promised to deliver their message to the residents.

He then urged the aspirant to "Make an impact and not disappoint the people. Your sister has done well and everyone can appreciate her impact. Do not bring the name of the family into disrepute."

The candidate, Luqman Orelope, thanked the representatives of the estate and assured them that he will live up to expectations.
