4. JOB TITLE: Accountant
LOCATION: Lagos Mainland / Island, Lagos

JOB DESCRIPTION
-Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.
-Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.
-Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.
-Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
-Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation
-Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
-Ensure timely bank payments
-Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
-Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
-Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
-Audit financial transactions and documents
-Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
-B.Sc in Accounting, Finance or a relevant degree
-Minimum of 2 years experience
-Must reside in Lagos (VI, Ikeja, Festac and its environs)
-Work experience as an Accountant/ Fixed Asset Accountant
-Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
-Hands-on experience with accounting software
-Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
-Experience with general ledger functions
-Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
SALARY: N150,000 - N250,000 Monthly.
