THE Lagos State Agency for Mass Education today paid a familiarization visit to the Executive Chairman, Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA Hon. Chief (Mrs) Bola Shobowale in her office.
The team was lead by director mass literacy , Mrs Kemi Kalesanwo.
In her address, Kalesanwo congratulated the Chairman for her success in the just concluded elections and wished her a giant developmental stride in office.
Kalesanwo thereafter emphasized that the local government is the closest to the community, the grassroot and the people that voted them in to office.
She pointed out that Ayobo-Ipaja has been academically disadvantaged, and the LCDA is among the eighteen chosen to kick start a mass education program. She therefore appeal for old buildings around the local council development area to be acquired and renovated by the state government through the ministry of Education for the establishment of adult literacy centre.
She also solicited for a piece of land for the establishment of a skill acquisition centre .
The chairman in her response expressed her appreciation to the team for identifying with her LCDA and promised to partner with the ministry in taking Ayobo-Ipaja to greater heights .
