The Executive Chairman of Ayobo Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Yusuf Sakiru Adisa, has reinforced the fact that peace is possible in Ayobo-Ipaja and reassured residents of continued dialogue in ensuring the local council thrives again.

He said: "It is our collective responsibility to soothe frayed nerves, allay the fears of those who think our communities can't be peaceful.

"To be clear, the setbacks of the past few days has been enormous, sequel to the commitment of trying to put our Country, State and Local Council on a sound footing.

"I salute the peaceful protests of the youths in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA. Unfortunately, the atmosphere became tensed with the infiltration of fifth columnists and those who do not mean well for our collective existence.

"In all, I want to thank the various stakeholders in Ayobo Ipaja LCDA, who took up the challenge to douse the tension in our various locales, especially the law enforcement agencies, who bore the brunt of the protest, yet stood undaunted.

"Our appreciation goes to our amiable Executive Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who through humility and quality stood tall in confronting and restoring peace to our State. Sir, indeed, Lagos State shall rise again.

"Going forward, we shall continue to dialogue and recommit ourselves to providing good leadership to our people, while upholding the sanctity of a better and conducive Local Council to the admiration of all."
