THE Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation (WAPA) in the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Adenike Muinat Tolu Olusanya, on Sunday, July 2, 2023, empowered about 200 women in the council area with food welfare packages to appreciate them for the festivity of the just concluded Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

While addressing the organiser and some of the beneficiaries, the APC Party Chairman, Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Bamidele Ojo (JP), said: "It was a truly an emotional day as we all came together to celebrate and honour the extraordinary women and widows in our community.

“These extraordinary women have dedicated their lives to feeding their families, supporting their communities, and shaping the fabric of ours. Today, we appreciate their great contribution and express our love and gratitude to them.

“A party with women is a great opportunity to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to their welfare. This is the time to show them that they are not forgotten, that their sacrifices are appreciated, and that they are deeply valued members of our society.”

On her part, Olusanya, while addressing the women, said: “As we share the food welfare packages and real conversation, we were reminded of the strength, resilience, and grace that these extraordinary women possess. Their stories and experiences have shaped us and continue to inspire us.

“Let us always remember that caring for women is not only a responsibility but a privilege. Our job is to ensure they receive the care, support and respect they deserve. Together, we can create a community where every woman feels loved and empowered.
