Ayobo-Ipaja council boss pens tribute to late Provost of West Africa Theological Seminary

THE Executive Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. (Chief/Mrs) Bola Shobowale penned down a tribute to the late Pastor Oluwafemi O. Martins, the Late Provost of the West Africa Theological Seminary (WATS) during the Service of Songs and Night of Tributes held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Edith & Parker Maxey Chapel of the Seminary, Ipaja Lagos.

According to information reaching Alimoshotoday through the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Executive Chairman on Media, Lukman A. Adebayo, the Council Chairman, represented by the Supervisor for Works & Infrastructure, Hon. Wole Aina, in her tribute, gave thanks to God Almighty for a life well spent, adding that the deceased had a good heart that accommodates and gives a sense of belonging to all.

She further stated that the late Provost had paid his dues as a servant of God who, while alive, readily made himself available to the works of God which he was destined to do on earth by helping and supporting the people and his community at large. 

She then prayed that God favours the soul of the Provost to be at the right hand and one of the saints of God as he journeys to heaven, that the roles he played while alive, in the forms of prayers and material support to alleviate the sufferings of the people during COVID-19 will continuously be remembered.

“It is our prayer that his soul rests with God till eternity when we shall part no more,” she concluded.

It should be noted that the late provost, Pastor Oluwafemi O. Martins served as the Provost of the Seminary for a period of three years from April 6, 2019, until his death on May 28, 2022, at the age of 67 years.
