AN All Progressives Congress (APC) party support group, the Asiwaju Solidarity Movement (ASM), Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA Chapter, has commenced a door-to-door campaign to win grassroots support for the APC presidential candidate and all other APC candidates ahead of the forthcoming polls.
Information reaching Alimoshotoday stated that, during the campaign, the Asiwaju Solidarity Movement urged various residents of the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA to support the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Senatorial candidate, Dr Idiat Adebule, the Alimosho Federal Constituency House of Representatives candidate, Hon. Ayuba Adele, and the House of Assembly candidate for Alimosho Constituency 01, Hon. Lukmon Orelope in the forthcoming general elections.
The group said: “We have put in place all measures to ensure effective mobilisation for the Tinubu/Shettima, Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat, and all other candidates as we are embarking on our door-to-door canvassing/campaigning across the wards in Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA of Alimosho ahead of the polls.”
Speaking to reporters during the campaign exercise, Hon. Adebisi Yusuff, the sitting member of Lagos State House of Assembly for Alimosho Constituency 01, declared that the essence of the door-to-door campaign is to sensitize the people at the grassroots on how to properly vote for Tinubu and the National Assembly candidate during the February 25 Presidential/National Assembly election and also re-elect Babajide Sanwo-Olu and vote in Hon. Lukmon Orelope come March 11, 2023.
He described the APC Presidential candidate as “a man that can move Nigeria forward, a man that can make Nigeria great again, a man that will replicate his approach of social development and governance in Lagos State to the Federal level when elected as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria."
Other political leaders in attendance at the door-to-door campaign were the Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA Executive Vice-Chairman, Hon. Oladipupo Oluwaloni, the former Sole Administrator of Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA, Hon. Agbaje Abiodun, former Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Odeseye Olukayode, the LGA party secretary, Alhaji Kamorudeen Ayilara, Hon. Falola Yinka, Member of the legislative arm of the LCDA, Executive cabinet members of the LCDA, and Leaders of Community Development Committee (CDCs) in the council area.
