THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has welcomed the residents of the council area to the Year 2024, adding that the New Year signifies new hope and fresh opportunities.
His goodwill message to the constituents on Monday, January 1, 2024, read: “From the ashes of 2023, I see hope for Igando-Ikotun in the New Year 2024. Allah promises us Hope in times of despair, strength in times of weakness, and recovery after tragedies. Our Maker also promised that He will never forsake us in times of trouble.
“2023 was challenging, but with your patience, support and positive criticism, we have begun to display a positive outlook on innovation and inclusion we promised during our campaign.
“I have been lifted by the support and love shown to me and my administration by well-meaning people, and I am encouraged to redouble efforts to deliver the Igando-Ikotun of our dreams.
“We, however, need the continued support of our people through regular payment of their levies, revenue and strict adherence to their civic responsibilities.
“I felicitate with my good people of Igando-Ikotun for making it to 2024. Let us give Almighty Allah all the glory for His mercies and loving-kindness.
“We must dedicate ourselves to building a more peaceful and cohesive society with justice and equity for all our people and neighbours.
“I wish you a happier, safer, more peaceful and prosperous 2024.
