LASG hands over 270 housing units in Egan- Igando after 21 years delay

THE Lagos State Government, under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has handed over 270 housing units at the Egan-Igando Mixed Housing Estate to the original applicants (allotees) after a long delay.

Information reaching AlimoshoToday states that the official commissioning and hand-over of keys to the 270 homeowners took place on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at the Estate location in Egan in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of the LGA.9782

While speaking during the commissioning, Sanwo-Olu said: “This project encountered setbacks like vandalism and theft, leading to a completion strategy focusing on delivering the units in clusters.

“This is a fulfilment of my pledge to complete ongoing housing projects and the Ministry of Housing’s dedication to delivering this vital project despite challenges.

“I acknowledge the patience of the original applicants who waited for many years.9781

“We are thrilled to finally break through the barriers that have held us back for so long with the delivery of the first cluster comprising 270 homes.”

Also present at the commissioning was the Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr Femi Hamzat;  different Obas, CDC/ CDA leaders, APC leaders in the Alimosho Constituency 02, and other top government functionaries.
