THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde has wished the Christian residents of the council area a happy Christmas.
In his Christmas message, Akinsanya affirmed that love is the core of the teachings and practice of Jesus Christ who shared and gave even His own life while he lived among men.
He declared, “Let us give and share the love with each other in our families, in our homes, in our places of work and business, and everywhere we interact with our fellow men. Let us care for the vulnerable and give unconditional love.
“Over the years, the lessons of Christmas and Jesus Christ whose birth became the reason for this season resonate in teachings like unconditional love, the forgiveness of sin, grace, sharing, and championing the cause of the weak and the oppressed as well as the vulnerable.
“I wish to, therefore, enjoin fellow compatriots to appropriate the hope that comes with Christmas and reinvest trust in this administration’s determination and unwavering commitment to restore peace, security and prosperity to our dear community.
“I thank all Igando-Ikotun residents, all the people who have chosen to make Igando-Ikotun their homes from diverse backgrounds for living in peace and harmony. I urge you to continue in this spirit as we strive to make life even better for residents in the years ahead.”
