In his remarks, the council boss, Comrade Akinsanya, affirmed that education must be free at all levels in the nation, adding that it is key to a nation’s rapid economic growth which implies that everybody must be learned.

“The free education as envisioned by my administration is to provide succour and relief to parents who cannot afford to send their children and wards to holiday coaching classes, as a way of improving their learning skills. So, we are to touch the lives of students positively with a sound educational system and also widen their scope of knowledge at all levels.

“Ours is to ensure the provision of a conducive learning environment while not losing sight of making available free-cost teaching and learning materials to both the employed teachers and students.

“We have employed about 24 qualified graduate teachers to teach the students in all subjects depending on the classes, students in the senior classes are being taught subjects like English Language, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Government, Literature-in-English and Accounts to prepare them for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE),” the chairman concluded.
