MULTIPLE award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayo Balogun, well known as Wizkid, has opened up on how the death of his mother affected him and is still affecting him.
The entire music industry was left in shock when it was made known that the music star had lost his mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun on August 18, 2023, in London.
It appears the singer is yet to get over the death of his mother as a series of posts on his Instagram story on Wednesday morning explained what he was going through.
“Look in the mirror and I don’t feel myself. Mama left me and I lost myself. I can’t wait to feel myself again. Life of a soldier! Military with it! Until then I dey slap away for free so leave me,” as quoted by Dailypost. ng.
“And I’m thankful that you all are going through this phase with me. You seen me at my lowest now. When you see me back on my high no complain. Expensive pain,” he finished.
This is coming after fans raised concerns over the artist’s appearance at the UK premiere of ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ in London in which Wizkid looked solemn.
