RAP genius and music icon, Vector tha Viper, whose real name is Olanrewaju Ogunmefun David, has explained why the youth of today are disrespecting their elders.

The rapper, who is known for his lyrical composition, in this context referred to the elders as people who failed to perform when in public office.

He wrote, “It just occurred to me that presently, the elders we are supposed to be respecting are busy disrespecting themselves calling their youth (the people’s future) all sorts of names. It could have made pardonable sense if they (the “elders” ) were truly excellent in public office."

Giving an example, Vector cited the former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, “For example, no one is dissing FFK because he looks like a fly frog on aviators on his dp. No, they diss him because he’s not a man of any of his plenty academically sound utterances. These are men of public office representing the people they are fighting lol.”
