THE 64th annual Grammy Awards ceremony has been rescheduled from its initial January 31st date to April 3, 2022.

The elite music award ceremony has not only had its date changed but also the venue, as it has been moved to Las Vegas.

This recent change was made known on Tuesday, January 18, 2022; the show has been rescheduled, and will now broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, April 3, from 8-11:30 p.m. on CBS.

The reason for the reschedule was said to be due to the new Covid-19 variant Omicron as its spread has greatly increased in the United States of America.

Irrespective of the rescheduling, Trevor Noah is still set to return as host, while additional details about the dates and locations of other Grammy events, including the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony, MusiCares Person of the Year, and the Pre-Grammy Gala, will be announced soon.

The Grammy award is not the only event to have been rescheduled, The Coachella, Critics Choice Awards, Governors Awards, and AFI Awards have also faced the same fate due to the variant.
