Simi condemns tribalism, blames politicians

The singer also condemned people who let themselves be used as tools to push the motion of tribalism.

NIGERIA music artiste and songwriter, Simisola Kosoko has condemned tribalism, referring to the act as disgraceful amidst the election tension.

There have been lots of responses from celebrities on the issue of tribalism, most especially on social media. The recently concluded election proved to expose the deep-seated tribalism that has continued to remain a problem in Nigeria.

The singer, who blamed politicians for the sudden rise in tribalism, condemned people who let themselves be used as tools to push the motion of tribalism.

“And all these for politicians that don’t give af about you or your family. Them just dey use you.

“When this election has passed, it’ll be you, the poverty you’re dying to maintain and your newfound lack of shame. They still won’t care about YOU. Tribalism is disgraceful,” the mother of one tweeted.

Simi is not the only celebrity to speak against tribalism, as the likes of Falz, Mr Macaroni, and others have condemned the act.
