THE Lagos State Police Command has exhumed the corpse of the late Mohbad so that an autopsy could be carried out to determine the cause of death.
This development was confirmed by the Lagos Police Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Thursday afternoon, who added that an autopsy has commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the singer.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command had set up a special investigative team to probe the death of Mohbad, with the team expected to submit an interim report within two weeks.
The job of the team is “to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death of the victim, identify witnesses, culprits if any and any person that will be helpful to the investigative process and deploy processes and other technological tools to aid the investigative course in line with the relevant provisions of the Nigeria Constitution and the State Laws.”
Recall that the 27-year-old singer, who was a former signee of Naira Marley at Marlian Records, died last Tuesday.
