Olamide wanted to sign Omah Lay to YBNL Records

The YBNL boss made it known in an interview with British-Nigerian media personality, Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo.

POPULAR Nigerian rapper, Olamide Adedeji has revealed in an interview that he wanted to sign sensational artist, Stanley Omah Didia, aka Omah Lay, to his record label.

The music executive was interested in bringing the Reason crooner to his YBNL Records after he heard Omah Lay's hit song Bad Influence, but he already had a contract with another label.

The YBNL boss made it known in an interview with British-Nigerian media personality, Adesope Olajide, aka Shopsydoo.

“Somebody sent me Omah Lay’s song, Bad Influence, I had to like search for him on Instagram. I messaged him that I want to sign him, but he told me that he got a deal already,” Olamide said.

YBNL Records, which was established in 2012, has seen the establishment of many artists in the Nigerian music industry, including Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Chinko Ekun, Pheelz, Fireboy DML, B Banks, Davolee, Lyta, Viktoh, Dj Enimoney, and Asak,e making it one of the most successful record label in Nigerian music history.
