POPULAR celebrity bar owner and Billionaire, Obinna Iyiegbu, has been released by the EFCC three days after his arrest.
Obi Cubana, as he is popularly called, was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday, November 1, 2021, when he honoured an invitation from the anti-graft agency.
The Celebrity bar owner who was allegedly being interrogated for tax fraud, currency abuse, and money laundering by the EFCC, was later released in the later hours of yesterday November 4, 2021.
The EFCC, despite releasing Obi Cubana, is not yet done as there are indications that the businessman would be summoned at a subsequent time to defend himself in court over issues on currency abuse, tax fraud, and money laundering.
Recall that in July 2021, Obi Cubana took over social media for his mother's lavish burial, where over 200 cows were reportedly slaughtered for the ceremony.
