NIGERIA artists are not only known for shutting down event centres in the country but have gone ahead to headline and perform at various events around the world.
These events are not only music-related as we have seen several Nigerian acts perform at sports events, fashion events, and even movie premieres.
We take a look at various events that top Nigerian artists have performed at that goes to show that Nigerian music has gone beyond the boundaries of the country and the continent.
In 2022, Davido performed at the FIFA World Cup but that was not before Femi Kuti and 2face Idibia performed at the events in 2010, which was hosted in South Africa. Burna Boy performed at the UEFA Champions League in 2023 while Rema took the stage of the Ballon d'Or ceremony also in 2023.
In 2022, Wizkid was at the World Tennis League while in 2023, Rema, Tems, and Burna Boy performed at the NBA ALL STAR GAMES. At the World Street Ball Championship, Yemi Alade was present in 2022 while Omah Lay and Oxlade took over in 2023.
