NIGERIAN actress, film producer, and director, Mercy Johnson has endorsed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a second term in office ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
The 38-year-old mother of four took to social media to explain her decision for supporting the APC candidate, as she highlighted ways in which the Governor has helped Lagosians in various sectors.
She wrote, “This is why my choice is Governor Babajide Sanwoolu; his efforts that have improved healthcare, women’s development, transportation, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure in Lagos State.
"Key points for me include the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, entrepreneurship support, and all the work behind the scenes helping women who have been victims of domestic violence to supporting their entrepreneurship.
"His results can be seen and measured. Yes, there is still a lot of work left to do, but I believe in my heart that he can and will do as he says."
Mercy Johnson is not the only actress that has shown support for candidates in the forthcoming election, as a colleague in the movie industry, Iyabo Ojo had previously declared her support for LP's candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour.
