Femi Adebayo sold properties to raise money for ‘Jagun Jagun’ movie

The actor disclosed that he used proceeds from his previous film, Agbeshinkole, as well as selling some of his properties to raise enough finance for the production of 'Jagun Jagun'.

NOLLYWOOD actor, director, and movie producer, Femi Adebayo has opened up on the risk and sacrifice he took to raise money for the production of his hit movie Jagun Jagun.

In his recent interview, the actor disclosed that he used proceeds from his previous film, Agbeshinkole, as well as selling some of his properties to raise enough finance for the production of Jagun Jagun.

“I cannot say the exact amount I spent on shooting it. I used the proceeds of Agbeshinkole to produce Jagun Jagun. At a point, I was out of finance, and because I had faith that the project would work, I sold my properties,” he said.

The risk turned out to pay off as Jagun Jagun has received massive accolades from viewers as some have even argued that it deserves to be named the best movie in Africa and could also stand on a world level.

The movie, which was released on August 10 on Netflix, contained top Nollywood stars like Lateef Adedimeji, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Yekini Itele, Bukunmi Oluwashina, Adebayo Salami, Fathia Balogun, Muyiwa Ademola, Yinka Quadri, and Debo Adedayo.
