Burna Boy loses 5 award nominations at NAACP Image Awards

The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant album I TOLD THEM lost the Outstanding Album of the Year category to ‘Jaguar II’ by Victoria Monét at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards on March 16, 2024.

HIGHLY successful Nigeria singer, Burna Boy has lost all five award categories he was nominated in at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards.

The self-acclaimed ‘African Giant album I TOLD THEM lost the Outstanding Album of the Year category to ‘Jaguar II’ by Victoria Monét at the 2024 NAACP Image Awards on March 16, 2024.

He also lost the Outstanding Male Artist of the Year category to Usher. His hit song, ‘City Boys’ lost the award for the Outstanding International Song to his compatriot, Tems’ ‘Me & U.’

Sittin’ On Top Of The World’ featuring 21 Savage lost the Outstanding Hip-hop/Rap Song category to Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Cobra, as well as Best Duo/Group Collaboration (Contemporary) to ‘Sensational’ by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay.

This is not the first time such as happened to the artist as he lost four nominations at the 2024 Grammys and seven nominations at the 2023 BET Hip-hop Awards.
