ANIKULAPO: Expect more as Blockbuster movie will now be released in series (Filming Photos)

Just like ‘Blood Sisters’, If you thought Anikulapo did not end well, you may be right, as there is still more in store for you.

ACTOR and award-winning A-list Filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan is set to develop his hit movie Anikulapo into a series.

Kunle Remi, one of the leading casts of the movie announced the good news in an Instagram post. Remi, in his post, added that questions about the film will be answered in the forthcoming series.

Sharing moments from the movie set, he wrote in parts:

“The journey just began… all unanswered questions are in the series to come as confirmed by the director.”

On her part, actress Bimbo Ademoye also confirmed that Anikulapo will be developed into a series.

She made the confirmation on an Instagram post after a fan asked if there will be a second part.

The fan identified as Sterling wrote:

“Awesome movie Queen B. I did not want it to end oh. How about part 2 nko?” to which Ademoye replied, “We are working on it.”

Anikulapo tells the story of Saro, a man seeking for greener pastures, but unfolding events and his affair with the king's wife, he encounters his untimely death with Akala, a mystical bird believed to give and take life.

Set in the 17th-century Oyo Empire, the movie stars actors include Kunle Remi, Bimbo Ademoye, Sola Sobowale, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Taiwo Hassan, Faithia Williams and Adebayo Salami.

Others include Moji Afolayan, Kareem Adepoju, Yinka Quadri, Aisha Lawal, Ropo Ewenla, Adewale Elesho, Sunday Omobolanle and Toyin Afolayan.

Kunle, his daughter Eyiyemi Afolayan, and Yemi Elebuibon make special appearances.
